About Butterfly Barn

Butterfly Barn is believed to date back to the 16th or early 17th-century. Constructed with traditional oak beams, it has a high vaulted ceiling in the main living area and is heavily beamed throughout the kitchen and two upstairs bedrooms.

Originally thatched and built on dirt, it now has a clay peg tile and slate roof and has been fully underpinned as part of its 2008 renovation.

The barn is on three levels: the living area and kitchen step-down to the main entrance hall, off of which is the utility room, downstairs cloakroom and two bedrooms; the living area and kitchen also step-up to the two upstairs bedrooms.

Butterfly Barn is set within the grounds of the owners’ home, and both properties are accessed via gates at the top of a private drive, so the property is secluded and away from the main road.

We hope this information will help you assess whether the Butterfly Barn will be suitable for you, if you have any questions about the suitability of the property, or you have any specific accessibility requirements, please contact us directly and we will be more than happy to discuss.
