The History

Butterfly Barn was fully renovated in 2008 and is believed to date back to the 16th or early 17th-century. Constructed with traditional oak beams it has a high vaulted ceiling in the main living area and is heavily beamed throughout. Originally thatched and built on dirt it now has a clay peg tile and slate roof and has been underpinned.

Butterfly Barn has four large double bedrooms all with their own en- suite. There is a large well equipped kitchen is with a double sink, dishwasher and aga. There also a large living area with vaulted and heavily beamed space of some 600 square feet. The property also has a fully equipped utility room and substantial garden.

Location

Butterfly Barn is located off the B1256 in Stebbingford, between the villages of Stebbing and Felsted and three miles to the East of the market town of Great Dunmow. The local area is typically rural, the property itself is surrounded by farmland, there is direct access to public footpaths that lead to both Stebbing and Felsted.
